Squirts
against Cold Spring
The MBA Storm Squirts traveled to Richmond Sat. to take on the
Cold Spring Rivercats and skated to a 14-1 victory. In the first
period Corey Storck gets things started with a goal, unassisted.
Blake Crandall scores pushing the puck in the back door behind
the goalie at 3:51 into the period assisted by Morgan Staton. Jacob
Aarhus pounds one in from in front of the net, assisted by Tanner
Picht.
The Storm will have a huge second period, scoring ten goals. Mac
Beyer scores the first tow unassisted. Bryce Jergenson picks one
up off the combined passing efforts of Jordan Staples and B. Gimberlin.
Tanner Mikkelson finds the net with the assist from Taner Gimberlin.
T. Picht scores off the stick of C. Storck. Picht with the hot
stick scores at 4:58 left of the period unassisted. B. Gimberlin
follows with his first of the game at 8:42 unassisted. Chad Schwarz
slaps one in unassisted and B. Gimberlin gets his second of the
period off the pass from Corbin Heder. M. Staton gets the last
goal of the period unassisted putting the Storm up 13-0 at the
end of two periods.
With players getting action in both the offensive and defensive
positions the Storms picks up one more in the third with T. Picht
getting his hat trick assisted by B. Gimberlin. Austin Crow almost
completes a shut out as goalie when Cold Spring will get their
only goal at 9:42 of the third. The Storm defense will only give
up five shots on goal to Crow in the whole game.
The Storm prepare this week for the upcoming Tournament in Alexandria,
where the action will kick off at 10:00 am with a game against
North Branch.

over the Thanksgiving break were Vance Gullickson and Barb Schwarz.
