Hello to all of the Players and Parents of the MBA Storm Varsity Boys Hockey Team! We here at the Johnson household are very excited about the start of the new hockey season.  The practices have begun and there is a scrimmage this Saturday the 22nd.  The MBA will be hosting two other teams for the day and as part of that day we provide a small snack lunch to each player and coach.  The snack lunch contains one small 3 inch Subway turkey and cheese sandwich, bottled water, (these two items are provided by Craig and myself as well as the bags and napkins) an orange and a bar. We are asking for bags of oranges and wrapped bars to complete the snack lunches and a few helpers on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. to help assemble the lunches.  We have roughly 70 to 75 bags to put together and deliver to the arena in Benson around 9:00 a.m.   Last year we did the same thing and I know the players and coaches appreciated the snack lunches very much, especially given the time constraints between games for the teams.  If other families would be able to help with the oranges, wrapped bars and assembly I would appreciate it as well!  If you would like to bring food stuff the night before you can drop it off at our house 650 Oregon Ave. Benson.   I would also like to say WELCOME to the new students and families who are now playing with the MBA Storm Boys Varsity Hockey Team.  We may not be a team large in numbers but I know from experience that these boys have the heart and determination to succeed where others may fail.  This group of boys has always had to work hard and overcome many obsticals to gain the recognition that they deserve and they always manage to find a way to do what is needed and it has always been an inspiration to watch it happen.  It is not easy being a part of a team that is made up of kids from two sometimes three different communities but it is do-able.  So, I would be very interested in hosting team dinners here in Benson as well as helping with any team dinners that others might want to host in Morris or Ortonville.  We have the good fortune this year to have more home games than in the previous years and that makes it even more fun!  If there are any others who might be interested in doing some fun things this year for our team call me or write and we can get together and do some planning!  My cell number is 320-444-2707.   I would also ask that you pass this along to whomever I do not have listed so that everyone is included.  I lack the proper computer training to do much more than you see here and I apologize and say Thank you in advance.   (I think it might be nice to send it to ANYONE that might like to be a part of the MBA Boys VARSITY 2008-9 SEASON.)  GOOD LUCK AND GOOOOO STORM! Thanks!
